- Why does it shrink so much?
- BMP has no compression at all — the file is the raw pixels. JPG compresses the photograph, so a tenth of the size or less is normal.
- Will the quality suffer?
- At the recommended setting the difference is hard to spot. If in doubt, pick High quality — still far smaller than the BMP.
- Is it free?
